He was despised and forsaken of men,Isaiah 53:3-6
A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief;
And like one from whom men hide their face
He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.
Surely our griefs He Himself bore,
And our sorrows He carried;
Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten of God, and afflicted.
But He was pierced through for our transgressions,
He was crushed for our iniquities;
The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him,
And by His scourging we are healed.
All of us like sheep have gone astray,
Each of us has turned to his own way;
But The LORD has caused the iniquity of us all
To fall on Him.
Therefore will I divide Him a portion with the great,Isaiah 53:12
and He shall divide the spoil with the strong;
Because He poured out Himself to death,
And was numbered with the transgressors;
Yet He Himself bore the sin of many,
And interceded for the transgressors.
O taste and see that The LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in Him.
Psalm 34:8
But they that wait upon The LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31
When a man's ways please The LORD, He maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.
Proverbs 16:7
At the end of that time, I, Nebuchadnezzar, raised my eyes toward heaven, and my sanity was restored. Then I praised The Most High; I honored and glorified Him who lives forever. His dominion is an eternal dominion; His kingdom endures from generation to generation. All the peoples of the earth are regarded as nothing. He does as He pleases with the powers of heaven and the peoples of the earth. No one can hold back His hand or say to Him: "What have you done?"
Daniel 4:34-35

Terror accomplishes no real obedience. Suspense brings forth no fruit unto holiness. No gloomy uncertainty as to God's favor can subdue one lust, or correct our crookedness of will. But the free pardon of the cross uproots sin, and withers all its branches. Only the certainty of love, forgiving love, can do this.-Horatius Bonar, found the quote here: http://thoughtsonthewayblog.blogspot.com/2011/01/terror-accomplishes-no-real-obedience.html added the blog to the links.
and here's a quote from a hymn he wrote, GLORY BE TO THE GOD THE FATHER
Glory be to Him Who loved us,---
Washed us from each spot and stain!
Glory be to Him Who bought us,
Made us kings with Him to reign!
Glory, glory, glory, glory,
To THE LAMB that once was Slain!
