SALVATION

Romans 5:1
Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:19-21
God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.
He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Ephesians 1:7
In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace.

John 3:14-
As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up; so that whoever believes will in Him have eternal life.
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. He who believes in Him is not judged.

Luke 7:50
Jesus said to the woman, "Your faith has saved you; go in peace."

Luke 17:19
And He (JESUS) said to him, "Stand up and go; your faith has made you well."

Luke 18:42
Jesus said to him, "Receive your sight; your faith has healed you."

Jesus came to save us!

Romans 4:5
But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness.

Luke 19:10

For The Son of man came to seek and to save that which was lost.

John 10: 11-15
I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd layeth down his life for the sheep.
He that is a hireling, and not a shepherd, whose own the sheep are not,
beholdeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep,
and fleeth, and the wolf snatcheth them,
and scattereth them : he fleeth because he is a hireling,
and careth not for the sheep.
I am the good shepherd; and I know mine own,
and mine own know Me,
even as the Father knoweth Me,
and I know the Father;
and I lay down my life for the sheep.

HE, JESUS, ERASED OUR SINS!

Sinners can have no peace with God, nor any from him, but through Christ.

Romans 11:27

For this is My covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

Christ Our Advocate

1. John 2: 1-2:

My little children, i am writing these things to you so that you may not sin.
But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with The Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

He is the propitiation for our sins,
and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.

PEACE TO YOU AND GOD'S GRACE.

We are safe and saved under the secure covering of JESUS' BLOOD.

GOD IS A GOD OF ALL HOPE

"Christ was all anguish that I might be all joy, cast off that I might be brought in, trodden down as an enemy that I might be welcomed as a friend, surrendered to hell’s worst that I might attain heaven’s best, stripped that I might be clothed, wounded that I might be healed, athirst that I might drink, tormented that I might be comforted, made a shame that I might inherit glory, entered darkness that I might have eternal light."

John 14: 1-18

1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so , I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then , Shew us the Father?
10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it .
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that e may abide with you for ever; 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him nhot, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. [comfortless: or, orphans]

As long as Uzziah sought The LORD,
God gave him success. ...

But after Uzziah became powerful,
his pride led to his downfall.
2 Chronicles 26:5b,16a

Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?
Proverbs 6:27

Wednesday, April 13, 2011

We are all sinners; and Christ came into the world to save sinners, to teach sinners, to call sinners to repentance.

The paralyzed man who got up, walked, and carried his bed is a type of the believer who has mastery over sin! What an expression of Christ's power he was. What hope he must have given to all who were helpless and in need.

Isn't this what God is after today? Is he not seeking overcomers who will set an example for the world, showing an evil generation how Christ completely delivers from sin's dominion?

Sinners should see believers who live above the lusts and pleasures of this world. Men who love their wives and are faithful; wives who do not cheat and are good mothers and keepers at home; young people who practice purity and separation from all that defiles.

Verses of the day:

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
and all are justified freely by His grace through
the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
Romans 3:23-24

The fear of The LORD is the beginning of wisdom:
and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
Proverbs 9:1

Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?"

THE BLOOD. NOTHING BUT THE BLOOD.

We have been bought by His blood (Acts 20:28).
Our sins are atoned for through the shedding of His blood (Romans 3:25).
We are justified by His blood (Romans 5:9).
We have redemption, the forgiveness of sins through His blood (Ephesians 1:7).
We are brought near to God by the blood of Christ (Ephesians 2:13).
We have peace with God through His blood (Colossians 1:20).
We have eternal redemption by His blood (Hebrews 9:12).
It is the blood of Christ that will cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death (Hebrews 9:14).
We have confidence to enter the presence of God by the blood of Jesus
(Hebrews 10:19).
It is the blood of Christ that sanctifies and makes us HOLY (Hebrews 10:10).
We are redeemed from an empty way of life with the precious blood of Christ (1 Peter 1:18, 19).
The blood of Jesus purifies us from all sin (1 John 1:7).
He freed us from our sins by His blood (Revelation 1:5).
It was with His blood that He purchased for God members of every tribe and language and people and nation (Revelation 5:9).
Our robes are washed and made white by the blood of The Lamb (Revelation 7:14).
We triumph over the evil one by the blood of The Lamb (Revelation
12:11).

...be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you
a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.
1st Peter 3:15

Oh that men would praise THE LORD for His goodness,
and for His wonderful works to the children of men!
For He satisfieth the longing soul,
and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.

You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’
But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
that you may be children of your Father in heaven.
He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good,
and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
Matthew 5:43-45

but a Spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.

Withhold not good from them to whom it is due,
when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.

“Simon, I have something to say to you.”

Luke 7:36-50
/Parable of Two Debtors

Now one of the pharisees was requesting Him to dine with him,
and He entered the pharisee’s house and reclined at the table.
And there was a woman in the city who was a sinner;
and when she learned that He was reclining at the table
in the pharisee’s house, she brought an alabaster vial of perfume,
and standing behind Him at His feet, weeping,
she began to wet His feet with her tears,
and kept wiping them with the hair of her head,
and kissing His feet and anointing them with the perfume.

Now when the pharisee who had invited Him saw this, he said to himself,
“If this man were a prophet He would know who and what sort of person this woman is who is touching Him, that she is a sinner.”

And JESUS answered him,
Simon, I have something to say to you.” And he replied, “Say it, Teacher.”
A moneylender had two debtors: one owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty. “When they were unable to repay, he graciously forgave them both.
So which of them will love him more?”

Simon answered and said, “I suppose the one whom he forgave more.”
And He said to him, “You have judged correctly.”

Turning toward the woman, He said to Simon, “Do you see this woman?
I entered your house; you gave Me no water for My feet,
but she has wet My feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair.
“You gave Me no kiss; but she, since the time I came in, has not ceased to kiss My feet.
“You did not anoint My head with oil, but she anointed My feet with perfume.
“For this reason I say to you, her sins, which are many, have been forgiven,
for she loved much; but he who is forgiven little, loves little.”

Then He said to her, “Your sins have been forgiven.”

Those who were reclining at the table with Him began to say to themselves,
“Who is this man who even forgives sins?”

And He said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”
