Romans 5:1
Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:19-21
God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.
He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Ephesians 1:7
In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace.

John 3:14-
As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up; so that whoever believes will in Him have eternal life.
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. He who believes in Him is not judged.

Luke 7:50
Jesus said to the woman, "Your faith has saved you; go in peace."

Luke 17:19
And He (JESUS) said to him, "Stand up and go; your faith has made you well."

Luke 18:42
Jesus said to him, "Receive your sight; your faith has healed you."

As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men,
especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
Galatians 6:10

The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart;
and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
Psalm 34:18

Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.

Post Of The Day. Isaiah 53

He was despised and forsaken of men,
A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief;
And like one from whom men hide their face
He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.
Surely our griefs He Himself bore,
And our sorrows He carried;
Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten of God, and afflicted.
But He was pierced through for our transgressions,
He was crushed for our iniquities;
The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him,
And by His scourging we are healed.
All of us like sheep have gone astray,
Each of us has turned to his own way;
But The LORD has caused the iniquity of us all
To fall on Him.
Isaiah 53:3-6
Therefore will I divide Him a portion with the great,
and He shall divide the spoil with the strong;
Because He poured out Himself to death,
And was numbered with the transgressors;
Yet He Himself bore the sin of many,
And interceded for the transgressors.
Isaiah 53:12

O taste and see that The LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in Him.
Psalm 34:8

But they that wait upon The LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31

When a man's ways please The LORD, He maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.
Proverbs 16:7

At the end of that time, I, Nebuchadnezzar, raised my eyes toward heaven, and my sanity was restored. Then I praised The Most High; I honored and glorified Him who lives forever. His dominion is an eternal dominion; His kingdom endures from generation to generation. All the peoples of the earth are regarded as nothing. He does as He pleases with the powers of heaven and the peoples of the earth. No one can hold back His hand or say to Him: "What have you done?"
Daniel 4:34-35

Terror accomplishes no real obedience. Suspense brings forth no fruit unto holiness. No gloomy uncertainty as to God's favor can subdue one lust, or correct our crookedness of will. But the free pardon of the cross uproots sin, and withers all its branches. Only the certainty of love, forgiving love, can do this.
-Horatius Bonar, found the quote here: added the blog to the links.

and here's a quote from a hymn he wrote, GLORY BE TO THE GOD THE FATHER
Glory be to Him Who loved us,
Washed us from each spot and stain!
Glory be to Him Who bought us,
Made us kings with Him to reign!
Glory, glory, glory, glory,
To THE LAMB that once was Slain!

God is ever faithful, therefore let all who have an interest in His promises be ever cheerful.

Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary
on Acts 27:21-29
Observe the solemn profession Paul made of relation to God. No storms or tempests can hinder God's favour to His people, for He is a Help always at hand. It is a comfort to the faithful servants of God when in difficulties, that as long as The Lord has any work for them to do, their lives shall be prolonged. If Paul had thrust himself needlessly into bad company, he might justly have been cast away with them; but God calling him into it, they are preserved with him.

They are given thee; there is no greater satisfaction to a good man than to know he is a public blessing. He comforts them with the same comforts wherewith he himself was comforted. God is ever faithful, therefore let all who have an interest in His promises be ever cheerful. As, with God, saying and doing are not two things, believing and enjoying should not be so with us.

Hope is an anchor of the soul, sure and stedfast, entering into that within the veil. Let those who are in spiritual darkness hold fast by that, and think not of putting to sea again, but abide by Christ, and wait till the day break, and the shadows flee away.
and on Acts 25:1-12
In suffering times the prudence of The Lord's people is tried, as well as their patience; they need wisdom. It becomes those who are innocent, to insist upon their innocence. Paul was willing to abide by the rules of the law, and to let that take its course. If he deserved death, he would accept the punishment. But if none of the things whereof they accused him were true, no man could deliver him unto them, with justice. Paul is neither released nor condemned. It is an instance of the slow steps which Providence takes; by which we are often made ashamed, both of our hopes and of our fears, and are kept waiting on God.

Commit thy works unto The LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.
Proverbs 16:3

Behold, the eye of The LORD is upon them that fear Him,
upon them that hope in His mercy;
To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
Psalm 33:18,19

The man who thinks lightly of Christ also has but poor comfort as to his own security. With a little Savior I am still in danger, but if He be the mighty God, able to save unto the uttermost, then am I safe in His protecting hand, and my consolations are rich and abounding. In these, and a thousand other ways, an unworthy estimate of our Lord will prove most solemnly injurious. The Lord deliver us from this evil.

If our conceptions of The Lord Jesus are very enlarged, they will only be His due. We cannot exaggerate here.
He deserves higher praise than we can ever render to Him. As high as the heavens are above the earth, so high is He above our loftiest conceptions. Even when the angels strike their loudest notes, and chant His praises most exultingly on their highest festal days, the music falls far short of His excellence. He is higher than a seraph’s most soaring thought! Rise then, my brethren, as on eagle’s wings, and let your adoring souls magnify and extol The Lord your Savior.

Prayer: An overflow from confidence in CHRIST

John Piper - Prayer: An overflow from confidence in CHRIST

Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe,
all things are possible to him that believeth.

With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
Mark 9:23, 10:27

For The Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout,
with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:
and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them
in the clouds, to meet The Lord in the air:
and so shall we ever be with The Lord.

Our sins are atoned for through the shedding of His blood (Romans 3:25).
We are justified by His blood (Romans 5:9).
We have redemption, the forgiveness of sins through His blood (Ephesians 1:7).
We are brought near to God by the blood of Christ (Ephesians 2:13).
We have peace with God through His blood (Colossians 1:20).
We have eternal redemption by His blood (Hebrews 9:12).
It is the blood of Christ that will cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death (Hebrews 9:14).
We have confidence to enter the presence of God by the blood of Jesus

It is the blood of Christ that sanctifies and makes us HOLY (Hebrews 10:10).
We are redeemed from an empty way of life with the precious blood of Christ (1 Peter 1:18, 19).
The blood of Jesus purifies us from all sin (1 John 1:7).
He freed us from our sins by His blood (Revelation 1:5).
It was with His blood that He purchased for God members of every tribe and language and people and nation (Revelation 5:9).
Our robes are washed and made white by the blood of The Lamb (Revelation 7:14).
We triumph over the evil one by the blood of The Lamb (Revelation

Post of the day. KEEP ME LORD.

Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.
See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Psalm 139:23-24

"Days of trouble must be days of prayer; when God seems to have withdrawn from us,
we must seek him till we find him.
In the day of his trouble the psalmist did not seek for
the diversion of business or amusement,
but he sought God, and His favor and grace."

-Matthew Henry.

Hebrews 10:4-10

For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.
Therefore, when He comes into the world, He says,

After saying above,
(which are offered according to the Law),

then He said,
He takes away the first in order to establish the second.

By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

"We Are In Grave Danger, When..." - Leonard Ravenhill

"The Spirit distributes to every one as He will.
We must be content though we are lower and less than others.
We must not despise others, if we have greater gifts.
How blessed the Christian church, if all the members did their duty!
Instead of coveting the highest stations,
or the most splendid gifts,
let us leave the appointment of His instruments to God"

The Christian's Adversary: The Devil - Charles Leiter

1 Peter 5
8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
9 Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world.

the word devil - diabolos, means slanderer.

diábolos (diabállō, "to slander, accuse, defame") – properly, a slanderer; a false accuser; unjustly criticizing to hurt (malign) and condemn to sever a relationship.
